A favorite summer hike in our area, this trail is equally impressive in winter. It takes you across a suspension bridge, along the edge of a canyon, and to a stunning frozen waterfall. Suitable for all levels.

A favorite summer hike in our area, this trail is equally impressive in winter. It takes you across a suspension bridge, along the edge of a canyon, and to a stunning frozen waterfall. Suitable for all levels.​​

  • We will meet in Nordegg or at the Rockies Heli base for this tour.

    • Allow an extra 30 min on each end of the tour if you are meeting in Nordegg.

  • From our meeting location, we will drive to the trailhead just 10 minutes from the heli base.

  • From the trailhead, we will gear up with micropsikes or snowshoes depending on snowpack, and head out on the trail!

What do I need to bring?

Temperatures can range between -35 and +10 on our winter tours. Be sure to come prepared with:

  • A winter jacket and snow pants

  • Layers to keep you warm (long underwear, sweater/fleece)

  • Winter boots

  • Winter hat/toque and mittens/gloves.

  • Sunglasses and sunscreen 

  • Camera

  • A smile and good attitude!

What is included

  • Ice traction devices or snowshoes

  • Professional guide

  • All necessary safety equipment and satellite communication device

What is not included

  • Transportation from Nordegg (available as an add-on for group of 6 and more. Contact us for details)

  • Snacks

  • Winter clothing (we can supplement or assist if needed)

  • Travel insurance

  • Gratuities (optional)
