What to expect
Set out on an unforgettable adventure combining an ice walk on Abraham Lake hunting for ice bubbles, and a memorable experience trying out ice canyoning!

Meet at the Rockies Heli base.

Follow your ice bubble guide in your own car to a specially selected bubble hunting spot.

A brief walk will get you onto the ice, where you'll have plenty of time to explore the frozen expanse of Abraham Lake. Discover the famous methane bubbles and unique ice features and patterns, while taking in the majestic Rocky Mountain scenery!

Enjoy a delicious lunch.

Your canyoning guide will give you a safety briefing and information on what to expect during the tour.

Follow your guide in your own car to the trailhead, then it's a 30 min hike to get into the canyon.

What do I need to bring?
Temperatures can range between -35 and +10 on our winter tours and Abraham Lake is usually windy. Be sure to come prepared with:

A winter jacket and snow pants

Layers to keep you warm (long underwear, sweater/fleece)

Winter hiking boots

Winter hat/toque and mittens/gloves.

Sunglasses and sunscreen

Camera

Snacks

A smile and good attitude!
