What to expect
Discover the famous Ice Bubbles of Abraham Lake on this Icy Wonders adventure. Our guides know the best bubble viewing spots, and the location for this tour varies depending on ice conditions.

We will meet in Nordegg or at the Rockies Heli base for this tour.

Allow an extra 30 min on each end of the tour if you are meeting in Nordegg.

From our meeting location, we will drive to a couple of bubble hunting spots handpicked by your guide.

At each location, expect a short walk to get onto the ice. From here, spend the day exploring frozen Abraham Lake. Immerse yourself in the grandeur of the Canadian Rockies while you discover the famous methane bubbles as well as a myriad of unique ice features and patterns!
What do I need to bring?
Temperatures can range between -35 and +10 on our winter tours and Abraham Lake is usually windy. Be sure to come prepared with:

A winter jacket and snow pants

Layers to keep you warm (long underwear, sweater/fleece)

Winter hat/toque and mittens/gloves.
