Bubble viewing quality has held up after this week's Chinook. As the season progresses and the ice experiences more weather events the bubbles continue to develop unique character.
Ice thickness is 20+ cm across the lake and there are great patches of bubbles to be found at all major bubble viewing spots. You will find good skating away from shore.
As the reservoir water level continues to drop, the shoreline gets steeper and you will find more and more fractured ice. Try to find lower-angled sections to access the lake. Ice traction devices are highly recommended.
Preacher's Point is in late season conditions, with some cool ice features and bubbles to be found if you look around. Watch for weak, fractured ice and areas of open water.
We are expecting snow tomorrow and a major drop in temperatures. If you are coming out this weekend, stay warm and bring a broom!

Great bubble patches at all major viewing locations.
