Preacher's Point remains the only section of Abraham Lake that is frozen with over 20 cm of ice. With the water level dropping, the ice is now either sitting on land or in the river channel. Watch for sections of weak ice and open water. The clarity of the ice was somewhat impacted by the rain the area received a couple of days ago, but the wind has been polishing it nicely and we had some great clear patches of ice bubbles again today.
The thin layer of ice that had started to form at Cline Landing is all but gone thanks to the strong Chinook winds and warm temperatures we have been experiencing in the last few days. With this week's mild weather we are not expecting much change.
Lots of great bubbles to be found around Preacher's Point.
