David Thompson Country:
A Scrambling Guide
This scrambling guidebook is the first of its kind for David Thompson Country. Nestled between the foothills of Nordegg and the mountains of Banff and Jasper National Parks, this region has it all, from the North Saskatchewan River Valley, Abraham Lake and the Kootenay Plains to the craggy peaks and glacial lakes of the high alpine. All of the scrambles described in this book are located between Nordegg and the North Saskatchewan River Crossing/Highway 93 in Banff National Park. Each peak or ridge can be done in a day from Highway 11. Trips range from easy walk-ups for hikers who wish to get into scrambling, to difficult, technical scrambles suitable for experienced climbers.
